Accountant Keshavarao

You can find me at No 11 on the 2nd Cross in Marappa Garden. It’s in the JC Nagar area of Bangalore, zip code 560006. I’ve been an accountant here for many years and the neighborhood has changed a lot around me since I was younger. My office is in a residential part of the garden, so it stays fairly peaceful most days. I’m Keshavarao and I mostly work alone with my calculator and my ledger books which I still prefer over computers. I have a lot of old clients who have been coming to me since I first opened up my doors. My space is filled with the smell of old paper and ink which I've grown to like. I have a small wooden table where I sit and go through the bank statements every afternoon. Sometimes the neighbors come by to chat about the local news, which slows me down, but I don't mind a bit of company. Bangalore is a busy place but Marappa Garden feels like a little pocket of the old city. I don’t do much on the computer unless it's absolutely necessary for the filings. I prefer writing things down because it feels more real and I can track my thoughts better. The street outside is narrow so parking can be a bit of a pain for people visiting. I usually stay until late in the evening during the busy months. I don’t have a big staff, just myself and my papers. It is a simple way of life.
