Accountant Dhanalakshmi Swamy

People often find us here at 54 on 28th Main Road in Jayanagar. It is a busy spot in 9th Block. The office is usually full of papers and the sound of the printer going off. Dhanalakshmi Swamy started this a while back. We spend most of our mornings just going through bank statements and trying to make sense of all the receipts clients bring in. Sometimes they come in with a big box of crumpled papers and we have to sort them out one by one. Jayanagar is a nice place to work because you get a good mix of people. Some are just starting small shops and others have been around for forty years. We sit at the desks and drink a lot of tea while checking tax forms. It gets a bit crowded during the end of the financial year but that is just how it goes for an accountant. The windows look out onto the street and you can see the traffic getting worse as the day goes on. We don't have fancy furniture or anything like that. Just some sturdy chairs and enough shelves to hold all the files. Most of the time it is just about getting the numbers right and making sure nothing is missed. It is plain work but someone has to do it properly. We have been in Bangalore long enough to know how things move here.
