A Venkatesha & Co

Chickpet is probably one of the most crowded places you can find in the city, but that is where A Venkatesha & Co is located. We are at 14-E, all the way up on the 4th floor. It is a long way up, especially when the power is acting up and you have to take the stairs because the lift is out. The street below is always full of people selling clothes and fabrics, so it is never quiet. Our office is a bit of an escape from all that chaos outside. It is filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fan clicking away. We have desks that have been with us for a long time. There is not any fancy carpet or bright lights here, just a place to sit down and work on the accounts. We deal with a lot of numbers every day, and the files are stacked pretty high on every available surface. It is an honest way to make a living. You get used to the noise of the horns and the shouting from the market after a while. We have our regulars who come in, and we usually have some tea while we talk through their financial stuff. It is not a polished environment, but we get the job done. We have been in Chickpet for years, and despite the madness of the area, we would not want to be anywhere else. It is just our way of doing things.
