A Taste Of Rampur

We are tucked away in the 5th Block of Koramangala. It’s at number 24, and it’s not a huge place, so it can be easy to miss if you aren't looking for it. We cook Rampuri style food, which takes quite a bit of time to get right. We start early in the morning with the slow-cooking pots because you can't rush these kinds of flavors. The kitchen is small and gets very steamy when the meat is simmering. We are just a few people working here, mostly focusing on the spices and the traditional ways of making the gravies. We don't have a big marketing team or anything like that. We just rely on the smell of the food to bring people in from the street. Koramangala is always loud and busy, but in our kitchen, we just focus on the heat and the ingredients. Sometimes we run out of the specials early because they take so long to make and we can only do so much at once. The tables are simple and we don't have fancy decorations on the walls. It’s just a practical place to eat. We spend a lot of time cleaning up after the lunch rush because the gravies can be quite messy. It’s hard work, but we’ve been doing it this way for a while now and we don't plan on changing.
