Hira Trading Company

Hira Trading Company is tucked away on the third floor of the A. S. Building, which is No. 204/2 on Siddiah Road. If you are looking for us, we are right opposite the First Cross. Siddiah Road is always packed with people and vehicles, so finding a place to park is usually a nightmare. We spend a lot of our time going up and down those stairs because the building doesn't always have a working lift, or it's just too slow when you are in a hurry. Our office is filled with boxes and ledgers. It is a bit cramped but we make it work. Trading is mostly about talking to people and keeping track of prices, so the phone is always ringing. We deal with various suppliers and it takes a lot of patience to get everything sorted. The third floor stays a bit cooler than the street level, which is a relief during the summer months. We have been in the A. S. Building for some time now and we know the other tenants well. Sometimes we go down to the First Cross to get some tea and talk about the market. It is a very plain office with old fans and wooden desks. We don't see the need for expensive decorations when the real work is just about buying and selling. We stay open until late evening to make sure all the day's accounts are closed.
