A & B Consort

Our place is in Kumara Park West. It’s a quiet enough area for the most part, which helps when we’re trying to concentrate on our work. We do a lot of different things here, mostly related to building and planning. It’s just us and our desks, really. We don’t go in for anything too flashy. Most days involve looking at technical drawings or talking to people about their construction projects. It’s a lot of nuts and bolts kind of stuff. People usually find us because they have a specific problem they need solved or they’re starting a new project from scratch. We try to be helpful without being too pushy about it. We’ve been around Kumara Park West for some time, so we know the local scene pretty well. It’s a lot of sitting and thinking, then drawing, then changing the drawing again. That’s just the nature of what we do. We don't have a big reception area or a polished pitch. If you come by, you’ll likely see us leaning over a table or staring at a computer screen. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy. Sometimes we’re out on-site getting our shoes dusty, but mostly we are right here. We like the neighborhood and the people we meet through our work. It’s a steady way to spend the day, and we wouldn't have it any other way.
