Our place is over in Bejai, Mangalore, specifically at Pulamar House on Church Road. It’s near the Bharathi Nagar cross road, which is a pretty easy landmark if you’re trying to find us. Vasulochana Ventures started because we wanted to have our own thing going in this part of town. The building itself is an older one, but it’s got a lot of character and keeps us out of the sun. Most of our day is spent at our desks, looking at spreadsheets or talking to folks about their venture ideas. It’s a quiet enough area, though you do hear the school kids nearby sometimes. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or a receptionist in a suit. It’s usually just one of us answering the door if someone stops by. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and we like the pace of life here in Dakshina Kannada. The work can be a bit repetitive, checking records and making sure all the boxes are ticked, but that’s just how this kind of business goes. We try to keep things straightforward and don't use a lot of jargon when we talk to people. If you come by, you’ll probably find a couple of half-empty tea cups and a lot of papers scattered around. It’s just how we work, focusing on the practical side of things without making it complicated. It's a small team here, but we manage to stay busy enough to keep the lights on.
