Urmila Silks Private Limited

We’re located at number 63 on Siddanna Galli. It’s right on Anjaneya Temple Street in Bengaluru. If you know the area around 560002, you know it’s a bit of a maze with all the small streets. Urmila Silks Private Limited is the name we’ve had for a long time. This part of the city is old and has a lot of history. We deal with silks, which is a tradition around here. Our shop isn't fancy. It has old shelves and a lot of stock piled up. It’s often busy with people coming in and out of the temple nearby. The noise from the street is something we don't even notice anymore. We spend most of our time showing different fabrics and talking to people who come by. It’s hard work, especially when the weather is hot, but we’ve been doing it for years. We aren't trying to be the biggest silk place in Karnataka. We just want to do right by the people who walk through our door. The space is a bit cramped, but that’s just how things are on Siddanna Galli. Everything is close together. We have a small staff and we all do a bit of everything, from moving boxes to helping customers. It’s a simple business in a very traditional part of town. We just keep the doors open and see who comes by each day.
