Urbanmonk Buildcon Private Limited has its office at No 4, N.S. Iyengar Street, on the 1st Main Road in Sheshadripuram. This is one of those classic Bangalore neighborhoods that has been around forever. Our office is in an older building, and it has a very practical feel to it. We don't have any of those modern glass walls or bean bag chairs. It’s just solid desks, filing cabinets, and a lot of talk about construction. We handle building projects from start to finish. A lot of our day is spent coordinating between different teams and making sure the supplies actually show up when they are supposed to. Sometimes they don't, and then we have to spend the afternoon on the phone sorting it out. That’s just the reality of the construction business in a city like this. Sheshadripuram is a great location because we are central, but N.S. Iyengar Street itself is relatively tucked away. We get a mix of people coming by, from long-time residents to new contractors looking for work. We don't have a big philosophy or a fancy slogan. The name Urbanmonk sounded good to us, but at the end of the day, we are just builders. We take on a job, we figure out how to do it, and we see it through until it’s finished. It’s not always easy, and there are plenty of headaches along the way, but we enjoy the process of seeing something being built.
