Umiam Distillation Private Limited

We are set up on Bishop Cotton Road at Plot No. 30 (I). The space is actually care of Magan Singh Jain and Saroj Devi Jain. It’s a decent-sized place for what we do, which is handling distillation matters. We don't have a big storefront or anything like that because most of our work is behind the scenes. We spend our days tracking the batches and making sure the distribution is going where it needs to go. The office is pretty basic—just some tables, some older chairs, and a lot of ledgers. We prefer it that way because we don't see the point in spending money on stuff that doesn't help with the actual work. It can get a bit hectic when we have several shipments arriving at the same time, but we’ve got a system that works for us. We’ve been at this for a while and have seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years. We know the regulars who walk past every morning. It’s a simple operation, run by a small group of people who just want to do a good job. We don't use a lot of big words or try to act like we're more important than we are. We just handle the distillation business as best as we can and make sure the bills are paid. It’s a practical way to run things, and it has kept us going through some tough times.
