Toshani Charitable Foundation

Toshani Charitable Foundation is based over on the first floor of Vishnu Arcade. That is in the Shan Boga Colony area of Yemalur, right here in Bangalore. It is a fairly quiet neighborhood compared to the rest of the city, which is nice for when we are working. The arcade itself is a typical building with a few other small offices and shops around us. We spend most of our time organizing various charity tasks and managing the day to day needs of the foundation from this office. It is not a very big space, just enough for a couple of desks and some chairs for visitors. Usually, we are busy with emails or talking to people who stop by to ask about our local work. The roads in Yemalur can be a bit bumpy and narrow, so it is always an adventure driving over here in the morning. We have been in this spot for a while now and it feels like home. There is a small tea shop nearby where we usually go for breaks and get some fresh air. We do not have any big corporate signs or anything flashy, just the name on the door so people know it is us. It is a simple operation run by a few people who care about what they are doing. We just try to get things done without a lot of extra noise or complicated processes that waste time.
