Thanjai Appa Studios Private Limited is based out at 114, Smilee Greens on BG Huskur Road, in Goolimangala Village. It is a bit away from the main city rush, which actually helps with the kind of work we do. Being in Goolimangala gives us a bit more space and quiet. The studio is where we spend most of our time. It’s not a high-tech lab or anything, just a functional space with the gear we need to get things recorded or produced. We started this because we liked the idea of having a place where we could just focus on the craft. We are a small group, and we’ve all known each other for a long time. There is a lot of back-and-forth when we work on something, and it’s not always polite, but it gets the job done. We don't really have a big sales pitch. Usually, people find us because they saw something we did for a neighbor or a local business. We keep our overheads low so we can just focus on the projects. The Huskur Road area is developing fast, but we like our little corner in Smilee Greens. It feels like a real place, not some sterile corporate office. We just take it one project at a time and try to make sure we don't mess it up. If things get too loud in the studio, we just take a break and walk around the village.
