Our office is tucked away in the 7th Block of Koramangala, right on 1st B Main. If you have ever been around this part of Bangalore, you know how the traffic gets on the main roads, so being on this side street at No 337 is a bit of a relief, though parking is still a total headache most mornings. The building itself is pretty plain, just a regular structure where we have set up our desks and chairs to handle the HR consulting work. Inside, it is usually a bit cluttered with papers and files because we have been quite busy lately. The walls are a standard off-white color that has seen better days, and the ceiling fans make a bit of a clicking sound when they are on high speed. We usually get our tea from the small stall down the lane because the office kettle is temperamental. It is a practical space for what we do. The afternoon sun hits the front windows quite hard, so we keep the curtains drawn most of the time to avoid the glare on our computer screens. It is not some high-tech glass building, just a normal place where a few of us show up every day to get through the workload. We have been in this spot for a while now and the neighbors are mostly quiet, except for when the water tanker comes by and blocks the whole road for twenty minutes. It is just a regular work life here in Bangalore.
