Sukh Nivas Developers LLP is on the first floor of 193/1 M.G. Road. If you know M.G. Road, you know it’s always busy and there’s never enough parking. We’ve gotten used to the noise of the traffic downstairs. The office itself is one flight up, and it’s a fairly straightforward space. We have our desks lined up and a small area where we keep the site plans. Most of our day is spent talking to people about development projects. It involves a lot of patience. Dealing with land and buildings always takes longer than you think it will. We don't try to sugarcoat things. If there’s a delay with a permit or a problem with a contractor, we just deal with it. We aren't flashy people. We wear comfortable clothes and focus on the tasks at hand. Sometimes the office gets a bit hot in the afternoons, but we have a couple of fans that keep the air moving. We’ve worked with a lot of the same people for years, so there’s a lot of trust built up. We just keep our heads down and do the work. It’s about making sure the projects actually get finished. M.G. Road is a good place to be because everything is close by, even if it is a bit loud sometimes. We usually lock up around six and join the evening traffic.
