Sree Drona Standard Badminton Academy (Sdsba) Llp is situated in Iblur Village. If you know the area behind Suncity in Bellandur, you can find us on 6th Main Road at No. 3/C. We are basically a place for people who want to play badminton. You can hear the sound of the shuttlecocks hitting the rackets from the street sometimes. It’s a tall building because you need that high ceiling for the game. We have the courts laid out and we try to keep the mats clean, though they get scuffed up pretty fast with all the running around. There are usually kids here in the early mornings before school and then again in the evenings. Adults come in after work to get some exercise. It gets quite warm inside when all the courts are full, even with the fans going. We have a small area where people can sit and change their shoes or wait for their turn. It’s not a country club; it’s a place for people who actually want to play the sport. We spend a lot of time sweeping the floors and making sure the nets are at the right height. It’s a simple operation. We don’t have a big front office staff, just the people who look after the courts and handle the bookings. It’s a good way to stay busy, and the energy in the building is usually pretty high.
