Soran Kids Foundation

Soran Kids Foundation is up on the second floor of Bhatt Plaza in Indira Nagar. The room number is 819/8. If you are coming to visit, just a heads up that the stairs are a bit steep and the lighting in the hallway isn’t the best. Once you get inside, it’s usually quite a lively scene. We work with kids from all over the area, so there is almost always someone drawing at a table or asking for help with their homework. It’s a bit cramped because we have so many books and art supplies piled up in the corners. We aren't trying to run a polished operation. Most of the time, we are just trying to make sure we have enough snacks and pencils for everyone who shows up. Indira Nagar is a good neighborhood, and we’ve gotten to know a lot of the parents who live in the surrounding blocks. Sometimes things get a little chaotic when too many kids arrive at once, but we just roll with it. We don't have a lot of staff, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything, from cleaning the floors to fixing the old printer. It’s a lot of work, and we are often tired by the end of the day. But seeing the kids having a safe place to go makes it worth the effort. Just look for the plaza and come on up to the second floor.
