This is B.U Poovanna’s place, and we’ve been operating from here for a bit. It’s a very quiet area near Madikeri, surrounded by a lot of greenery. We handle coffee in small amounts and don't try to compete with the huge factories. Our shop is just a simple room with some weighing scales and bags. Most days are spent talking to the local folks who come by with their harvest. The mist in the mornings here is very thick, so we don't usually start very early. We wait for the sun to clear the hills. It’s a very peaceful way to run a business. We don't have any marketing experts or fancy logos on the wall. It’s just us and the coffee. Sometimes we have to deal with power cuts, so we just sit outside and enjoy the fresh air until the lights come back on. Being in Kodagu, you get used to the slower pace of life. We just do our work, pack the beans, and keep the shop tidy. It’s a good spot for anyone who likes the quiet side of the trade. We focus on the daily tasks and make sure each bag is weighed out properly before it leaves the village.
