Skedutech Institute of Medical Sciences is basically a small operation run out of No. 102 on 2nd Main in Ramamurthy Nagar. If you know the area, it’s 4th cross, which is usually a bit quieter than the main roads in Bangalore, but it still has its moments. We aren't a massive college with a huge campus; we're just a straightforward institute trying to help people learn about medical sciences. The building is a regular Bangalore structure, nothing that’s going to win any awards, but it serves our purpose. We spend most of our time inside, either looking at books or talking through different medical concepts. The weather in Karnataka can get a bit hot in the afternoons, so we keep the fans going and just get on with it. We don't really do the whole flashy advertisement thing. Most people who come to us are from around the neighborhood or found out about us through word of mouth. It’s a bit of a walk from the main bus stand, but once you get here, it’s pretty relaxed. We’ve got a few rooms for teaching and some space for the staff to sit and have their lunch. It’s not corporate at all. It feels more like a community spot where everyone knows your name after a week. We like it that way because it keeps the pressure off and lets us focus on the actual teaching.
