We are based out of Vasanthapura, at number 4. It’s a simple location for a company like SKAI BUILDING SYSTEMS PRIVATE LIMITED. We’ve been here for a while, and the neighborhood has seen a lot of growth lately. Our work is mainly about building systems, which is just a fancy way of saying we help put the parts of a building together so they actually work. We don’t have a massive office or a lot of staff, just a small group of us who know what we’re doing. Most days are spent either on the phone or out at different sites around Bangalore. Vasanthapura is a decent place to be situated because it gives us enough space to store some of the things we need. It’s not always organized perfectly, and sometimes the office feels a bit cramped when everyone is in at once. We don’t go in for big mission statements or anything like that. We just focus on the task at hand. If there’s a problem with a project, we sit down and figure it out. It’s a very practical way of working. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to get things done on time, but that’s just how it is in this business. We’re just local folks who have been doing this long enough to know how to get a job finished without too much fuss. We like what we do, even when it’s tiring.
