Our business, Shreyas Stones, is located at No. 340 on the 1st Cross of 5th Main in the Canara Bank Layout. This is part of the Kodigehalli village area in Bangalore. It’s a bit of a quiet neighborhood compared to the rest of the city, which we actually like. We have a yard where we keep our stone inventory, and it’s usually pretty full of different types of granite and other slabs. We aren't a big company with a lot of departments. It’s just a small group of us handling the stones and talking to the people who stop by. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of the shipments that come in and making sure the slabs aren't damaged. Stone is a natural product, so you never really know exactly what you’re going to get until you open the crate. We don't use any polished marketing language or try to act like we are some high-end boutique. It’s a yard where we get our hands dirty and move heavy things around. Most of our customers are folks from the local area who are building their own houses. We just show them the stock, give them the details, and help them get it loaded onto their trucks. It’s a very simple and direct way of doing things. We’ve been in Kodigehalli for a while and we just enjoy being a local business that people can rely on.
