Shanmukha Granite Expo Private Limited is located at number 247, right by Amma Nursery in Halagevaderahalli. This is out in Rajarajeshwari Nagar, which is a part of Bangalore that still has a bit of green left. We deal with granite, as the name suggests. It's heavy, dusty work, but there is something satisfying about seeing the big slabs come in. Our yard is usually full of different stones from all over. We spend our days showing people the different patterns and explaining how the stone will look once it's cut and polished. It’s not a high-glamour job. We wear boots and clothes that we don't mind getting a bit dirty. The nursery next door smells a lot better than our stone yard, that's for sure. We started this because we knew the local market needed good stone for all the new houses being built nearby. It’s a family-run feel here, even if we are registered as a private limited company. We don't have a polished sales floor with bright lights. Most of our meetings happen right there among the granite blocks. People know they can come to us for honest talk about what stone works for their kitchens or floors. It’s just us, some heavy machinery, and a whole lot of granite slabs waiting to be sent out to sites. We hope to keep the yard running for many more years to come.
