Sanchari Socio Cultural Organization

We are based over at Sai Charan Platinum, specifically in unit 302. It’s tucked away on 15th Cross in the 3rd Block of Vishwapriya Layout. If you know Begur Road, you know it can get pretty busy with all the traffic. Our organization, Sanchari Socio Cultural Organization, is basically a small group of us trying to keep local traditions and culture alive in the neighborhood. We don’t have a big stage or a hall. Most of our planning happens right here in this flat. We’ve got some instruments and old books stacked up against the walls. It’s a bit messy sometimes, but that’s because we’re always working on something new. People from the layout often drop by to see what we’re up to. We spend a lot of our time organizing small gatherings or just talking about local history. It’s not a fancy job. We do a lot of the heavy lifting ourselves, moving chairs and setting up small displays whenever we have a small event. The building is usually quiet during the day, which helps us get things done. We don't have a big budget, so we make do with what we have. It’s a local effort through and through. We like being part of Vishwapriya Layout. It feels like a real community where everyone knows your name. We’re just trying to add a little something back to the place where we live and work. Sometimes we practice our songs or talk late into the evening. It’s a humble setup, but it’s ours.
