Rsm & Co, Chartered Accountants

Our place is at House No-9 in Muniyamma Garden, over in the Vanarpet area of Viveknagar. It’s a local neighborhood, and our office is just a regular house that we’ve converted for our accounting work. Rsm & Co isn't a huge brand name with a skyscraper office. It’s just us working in a quiet corner of Viveknagar. We handle chartered accountancy work, which basically means a lot of auditing and tax returns. The office is filled with the smell of old paper and the sound of the ceiling fans. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to clients. We just explain what needs to be signed and where the money is going. It’s a very practical environment. We have a few assistants who help with the data entry, and we spend most of our time reviewing their work to make sure no errors crept in. Living and working in the same general area means we know the people here. We aren't trying to be the biggest firm in Bangalore; we just want to do a good job for the people who trust us with their books. Sometimes the tax laws change and we have to spend the whole weekend reading up on them, but that’s just part of the job. It’s simple, honest accounting work. We don't have fancy leather chairs, just enough room to sit down and go through the accounts until everything balances perfectly.
