Malleshwaram is a great part of the city, and that’s where you’ll find us at number 25. Being chartered accountants in this area means we see a lot of different people, from small shop owners to individuals just trying to get their personal taxes sorted out. The office isn't anything special to look at. It has that old-school Malleshwaram feel to it. We have shelves full of tax law books and stacks of paper that we try to keep organized, though it’s a struggle sometimes. My partner Badrinarayana and I have been at this for quite a bit. We don't spend money on fancy advertisements. Most of our work comes from people who live nearby or have been told about us by their friends. We handle the audits and the complicated tax returns that nobody wants to do themselves. It’s a lot of sitting and checking figures. Sometimes we have to go down to the department offices to sort things out. We don't use big words to explain things. We just tell you what the situation is with your money and what needs to be filed. It’s a practical way of working. During the summer months, it gets pretty hot in here, but we just keep the fans going and stay focused on the spreadsheets. It's just honest work in a busy neighborhood. We’ve seen the area change a lot, but our small office stays pretty much the same.
