Rajajinagar has that old Bangalore feel that we really like. Our office is a busy spot where we manage everything to do with building homes. It’s not just about the bricks and the cement, but also about all the permissions and the local rules that change every other week. We have a small desk for everyone and a table in the middle for looking at blueprints. Usually, there’s someone coming in with a question about a renovation or a new plot. We try to be helpful without making things too complicated. Sometimes we spend the whole afternoon just arguing about where a wall should go or how to fix a leak. It’s hands-on work and it gets messy sometimes. We don't use fancy software for everything, sometimes a pencil and paper works better for explaining things. The local tea shop is right around the corner, so that’s where most of our breaks happen. It’s a good way to stay connected to what’s happening in the neighborhood. We are just a group of people who know how houses are built and we spend our time doing exactly that. It's not always pretty, but it's real work that we understand.
