Our studio is actually inside the SJR Park Vista apartment complex on Harlur Road. We are in the Oak building, specifically unit 702. It is a bit different from a traditional factory because we are working out of a residential area just off Sarjapur Road. This means it is a lot quieter, which is nice for when we are trying to figure out new designs or work on patterns. We have turned a couple of the rooms into a workspace with tables for sketching and cutting fabric. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when we have a lot of samples lying around, but we make it work. The traffic on Sarjapur Road is usually terrible, so we try to avoid going out during peak hours if we can help it. Most of our day is spent looking at patterns and talking to tailors about how things should be put together. We don't have a big team or a receptionist. Usually, if the doorbell rings, it is just a delivery guy with more fabric or some buttons we ordered online. It is a very personal way of doing business, and we like that we can just step out onto the balcony for a quick break when things get too busy inside. We aren't trying to sound like a huge fashion house; we are just a small studio trying to make clothes that people will actually want to wear in their daily lives.
