Open Shared Mobility Foundation

We’ve been running things out of No. 87 in Block B over here in Koramangala for a while now. If you know Bangalore, you know how the traffic gets, especially around Ejipura. That’s really why the Open Shared Mobility Foundation exists in the first place. We spend a lot of our days just looking at how people get from point A to point B without losing their minds. It isn’t some big fancy operation with a glass front door or anything like that. It’s just a workspace where we try to handle the logistics of shared transport. Some days it feels like we’re making progress and other days the roads are just blocked as usual. We’re tucked away in Ward No. 68, which is a busy little pocket of the city. Usually, there’s someone around the office if you drop by, but we’re mostly focused on the data and the actual movement of vehicles. It’s practical work. We don’t have a lot of big speeches to give. We just think about how shared bikes or cars could actually work for regular people living in 4th Block. It gets noisy outside with the construction and the bikes, but we’ve gotten used to it. The foundation is basically just a group of us who live here and want the streets to be a little less crowded. It’s a slow process, but we’re here at the office every day trying to figure it out.
