We set up shop here in Indiranagar on 16th D Main. It's a busy part of Bangalore, but our spot at 686/2 is where we handle all the weaving work. People usually find us near HAL 2nd Stage. We’ve been around for a bit now. The focus is really just on the looms and getting the fabric right. It gets a bit noisy with the machines running, but that's how it goes when you’re working with traditional styles. My cousins and a few local hands help out with the day-to-day stuff. Sometimes the power goes out, which is a pain, but we manage. We aren't some big fancy showroom with glass windows and AC. It’s just a workspace where the threads get sorted and the patterns come together. Most days we are just busy checking the warp and weft. If you walk down the lane past the main shops, you'll see us. We kept the name Nivi because it felt right for what we do. It’s a small operation, really. Just a few of us making sure the quality is okay before anything leaves the door. Bangalore has changed a lot, but this corner of the city still feels like home for our business. We don't do much advertising. People usually hear about us from someone else who bought a piece. It’s a simple setup, nothing too complicated. Just us and the weaving. We just try to keep things moving as best as we can every day.
