Navnirman Mutual Benefit Nidhi Limited is located at number 18 on the 21st Cross. We are right in K Krishnaiah Layout, which is just off Ittamadu Main Road in Banashankari 3rd Stage. It’s a part of Bangalore that has changed a lot over the years, getting more crowded every month. Our office is basically a ground floor space where we keep our records. We have a few desks pushed together and some old benches for visitors. It’s not the kind of place with air conditioning or glass walls. We just have the windows open to let some air in. Dealing with a Nidhi company means a lot of manual work and keeping track of who paid what. We spend a good chunk of our day just talking to people and filling out forms. It’s very much a local operation. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or take a scooter to get here. The tea stall on the corner sees us quite often during our breaks. We don't have fancy brochures. If someone wants to know how things work, we just sit down and explain it on a piece of paper. The 560085 area is home for us. We just try to keep the books straight and make sure everyone gets their turn when the time comes. It’s a lot of responsibility but we just take it day by day. We usually lock up around seven in the evening. It’s a long day but we are used to it by now.
