We don't have any of those fancy waterfalls or giant lobbies you see in the big private hospitals. We just have a clean reception area and some wards for the patients. It’s a local place, so we see a lot of the same faces from around Sampigehalli. We deal with all kinds of things, like broken bones or people coming in with a bad fever. The staff works in shifts, so there is always someone around, even in the middle of the night. It can get pretty tiring, especially when we have a lot of emergencies at once. We just do what needs to be done to help. There is some space out front for parking, but it can get tight during the day when everyone is visiting. We’ve been working here for a while and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. It’s not a glitzy job, and we don't spend money on big ads or billboards. We just keep the lights on and help the people who show up at our door. It’s a busy life, but it’s the work we chose to do here.
