My Fruit Shop Private Limited

My Fruit Shop Private Limited is on the ground floor of the Lavanya Lotus building in Sai Vaibhav Layout. It’s a quiet residential area, which we like. Most of our work starts very early, around 4 AM, when we have to go and pick up the fresh stock. If you come by in the morning, you’ll see us unloading crates of mangoes, apples, or whatever is in season. The shop at S.N 44,46 isn't very big, so we have to be careful about how we stack the boxes so they don't fall over. We spend a lot of time sorting through the fruit to make sure anything bruised gets moved aside. It’s a messy job sometimes, and our hands are usually stained with something by lunch. We have a couple of staff members who help with the weighing and the billing. We don't have a fancy cooling system for the whole shop, just some fans and a small fridge for the more delicate stuff. The neighbors in Niharika Interlake know us by name now. We don't do big promotions; we just put the fruit out on the stands and wait for people to stop by on their walks. Sometimes the deliveries are late because of the Bangalore traffic, which is frustrating, but we deal with it. It’s just a simple neighborhood shop where we try to keep things fresh and the floor swept of fallen leaves. We close up when the sun goes down and go home.
