Muffets & Tuffets Bake House Private Limited

Our place, Muffets & Tuffets Bake House Private Limited, is located out on Basapura Road, near Electronic City. It’s a bit of a trek for some, but for those of us working here in Begur Hobli, it’s just home. The smell of flour and sugar is pretty much stuck in our clothes by the time we head back at night. We start the ovens quite early, usually when it’s still dark outside, to get the first batches of bread and cakes going. The space at Sy. No. 39A isn’t huge, but it’s enough for what we do. Working in Bangalore South means we deal with a lot of traffic, so getting our supplies delivered on time is always a bit of a gamble. We have a small group of bakers who’ve been with us for a while. We aren't some massive factory; we just mix the dough and bake it. Sometimes the cakes don't rise exactly right or the oven temperature fluctuates, but that’s part of the job. We spend a lot of time washing trays and sweeping up flour from the floor. It’s dusty work but we’re used to it. Most of our day is spent tucked away in the back area away from the main road. We don’t have a fancy storefront with neon lights. It’s just a practical workspace where we focus on baking things for the local area around 560100. It’s quiet in the mornings and hectic by the afternoon. We drink tea during breaks.
