Milletzkart India is right next to the Dmart on 30th Main in Bangalore South. If you know the 80 Ft Attimabbe road, you’ve probably passed by No. 609 without even thinking about it. We’re just a local team trying to get more millets into people’s kitchens. It’s not always easy because people are used to what they know, but we keep at it. Our office is a bit of a mix between a storage room and a workspace. We spend a lot of time talking to farmers and looking at grains. It gets a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just how it is with this kind of work. We aren't some massive corporation with a glass building. We’re just a bunch of folks who think millets are worth the effort. The traffic on 30th Main can be a nightmare in the evenings, but we’re usually still inside packing things up by then. We don’t really do fancy ads. Most people find us because they’re looking for something better to eat. It’s a lot of back-and-forth, managing deliveries and checking the stock. We make mistakes sometimes, but we always fix them. It’s honest work and it keeps us busy from morning till night here in Bangalore. The neighbors are friendly, and we often share a cup of coffee while we talk about the harvest. It is a slow process growing a business like this, but we are okay with that.
