Majumdar Tea Processing Private Limited

We’ve been working out of No.14 on 13th Cross in Bsk 2nd Stage for some time now. This is Majumdar Tea Processing Private Limited. Bendare Nagar is a decent spot for a business like ours, though the 13th Cross can get a bit narrow when the supply trucks try to turn the corner. Our daily life revolves around tea leaves. There is always a fine dust in the air and the smell of dried leaves is everywhere. We spend most of our hours sorting through batches, checking for twigs or stones, and then getting everything into the processing machines. It’s a slow process if you want to do it right. The machinery we use is a bit older, so it needs a lot of grease and attention to keep it from rattling too much. We aren't some big fancy brand with a TV commercial. We’re just a group of people in a warehouse-style space making sure the tea is processed and bagged. Sometimes the monsoon rain leaks a little near the side door, so we have to move the sacks around to keep them dry. It’s physical work and your back definitely feels it by five o’clock. We just keep at it, day after day, making sure the crates are ready for the wholesalers who come by in the mornings.
