Maitreya Pyramid Foundation

Our office is up on the 4th floor of a building on Puttenahalli Main Road. If you know JP Nagar 7th Phase, you know how the traffic can get around here in Bangalore. We are at number 45/46. The Maitreya Pyramid Foundation isn't some huge corporation with hundreds of staff. It’s just a handful of us trying to keep things running smoothly. Most mornings start with unlocking the door and letting the breeze in, though the Bangalore dust comes in too. We spend a lot of time on our feet or sitting at these old desks we’ve had since we started. People come by asking about what we do, and we just tell them straight. There’s no big secret to it. We deal with a lot of visitors coming up those stairs. Sometimes the lift works, sometimes it doesn’t, but we make do. Being in the 560078 area means we’re right in the middle of everything. It gets loud outside with the buses and the horns, but inside we try to keep it steady. We handle a lot of different tasks, from cleaning up the space to organizing the files. It’s just basic work, really. We’re not trying to impress anyone with fancy furniture or big words. We just want to do our bit here in the city and go home knowing we tried our best. It is a long way up to the 4th floor but we like the view of the main road.
