Down at 490 12Th Cross in the 3Rd Block of V.P. Layout, Begur, you’ll find us working with coconuts. That’s what we do at Kerakesari Coconut Products (Opc) Private Limited. It’s a lot of physical labor, to be honest. We spend most of the day de-husking, cracking, and processing. Coconuts are messy things to work with, and the floor is almost always covered in bits of shell or some water. It’s a small operation here in Begur. We don’t have a lot of fancy machinery, so a lot of it is done by hand or with basic tools. We ended up in this layout because it’s a decent spot for our deliveries to come in and out without too much trouble. Sometimes the humidity gets to us, and the work can be pretty repetitive, but it’s what we know. We aren't trying to change the world or anything like that. We just focus on making sure the products are handled right and sent out on time. The neighbors know us by the sound of the equipment running during the day. It’s not a corporate office environment at all. We wear work clothes, get sweaty, and go home tired. It’s a simple business model. We take the coconuts, we do the work, and we sell what we make. There isn't much more to it than that. It’s just us here at the 12th cross doing the daily grind.
