Our office is tucked away in Munnekollal Village, just off Varthur Main Road near Marathahalli. Even though this part of Bangalore has changed a lot with all the tech parks, our little corner still feels a bit like the old village. We are at No.8, and it’s a pretty modest place. Most of our members are locals who have been living in the area for years. We run Jrl Chit Fund from here, focusing on making sure the monthly pots are handled correctly. It’s mostly just sitting behind a desk, talking to people, and writing down figures in the books. The traffic on Varthur Main Road can be a nightmare, so we usually start early before the noise gets too bad. Inside, it’s just the basics—chairs, tables, and a ceiling fan that clicks a bit. We don’t have a big marketing team or anything like that. It’s just us doing the daily grind of collecting money and making sure the right person gets the bid. We keep our records organized because that’s the most important part of this job. People stop by to pay their installments on their way home from work. It’s a very hands-on way of doing business, and we prefer it that way. We know the families around here, and they know us. We just stick to the work at hand and try to stay organized through the busy weeks.
