Our office is tucked away in Vaddarapalya, BSK 5th Stage. It is a bit quieter than the main city parts of Bangalore South. We have been here for a while, helping people figure out their careers. Career counseling is what we do, but it is really just about sitting down and talking. We see a lot of students and parents who feel a bit lost about the future. Our space is very simple. We have some chairs, a table, and a few files. It’s not a high-end corporate office with a receptionist. Usually, one of us just answers the door. Sometimes the power goes out, which is common around here, so we just open the windows and keep talking. Most people find us because a friend or a neighbor told them we helped their child. We don’t have glossy brochures or big advertisements. We just listen to what people need and try to give honest advice based on what is actually possible. The neighborhood is still growing, so there is often some construction noise nearby. We don’t mind it much. It feels like the whole area is moving forward. We are just a small group of people trying to make a stressful time a bit easier for families. It’s practical work and we try to keep it as simple as we possibly can without making things more complicated than they already are for the students.
