Our office is at No. 15, on the 2nd Floor of the Saraswati Complex in Malleshwaram. It’s right on the 4th Cross. Malleshwaram is one of those classic Bangalore areas where you can still smell the flowers from the market and the coffee from the old cafes. Being in Saraswati Complex means we are right in the middle of all the action. We are a design firm, so you’ll see lots of sketches and rolls of paper scattered around the place. The office is a bit crowded because we have quite a few people working at long tables. It’s not a polished studio like you might see in magazines. It’s a working space with coffee mugs everywhere and half-finished ideas pinned to the walls. We take the stairs most days because the building is old and the layout is a bit quirky. Sometimes the street noise from 4th Cross comes inside, but we don't mind it much. We eat our lunch at our desks or go out to one of the nearby tiffin rooms if we have time. It’s a very hands-on environment. We aren't interested in sounding corporate; we just care about getting the drawings right and meeting our deadlines. The office feels real and busy, and that’s how we like it. Malleshwaram is a great place to be because of the energy and the history all around us. The lighting in here is a bit yellow, but it works for us. We have old books on the shelves too.
