Varthur Main Road is always packed with traffic and that is exactly where we are based. Our office is in the CNX Complex, up on the third floor. We are in the Thubarahalli area, which is not too far from Ramagondanahalli. It is one of those parts of Bangalore that grew very fast in the last few years. You can hear the car horns honking from the street all day long. We work in the hospitality sector, which means there is never really a quiet or dull moment. Someone is always calling about a booking or a maintenance issue that needs attention. The office is a bit of a mess sometimes with papers and half-empty coffee mugs on the tables. We are a small team and we know each other's habits pretty well by now. We do not really do formal meetings with agendas; we just shout over the partitions when we need to ask someone a question. Lunch is usually ordered in because nobody wants to drive out in the midday traffic. The building is okay and it has a lift that works most of the time. We are not a big corporate giant; we are just a local group trying to run things properly. We handle the day-to-day operations of our properties from this little hub. It gets tiring sometimes with the commute, but we keep at it. It is honest work.
