About Hunger-Free Earth Foundation – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Bengaluru Urban
We are situated out in Anekal Taluk, in a place called Dommasandra. Our office is on the ground floor of building E-296 on Teru Beedi. It’s right near the Eshwar temple, which is a good landmark if you’re trying to find us. Being in a post-town like this means things move a bit slower than in the middle of the city, which we actually like. Hunger-Free Earth Foundation is basically a small team working out of this ground-floor space. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of the road, but we keep it tidy enough. We have some shelves stocked with various things we distribute and a couple of desks for the administration side of things. It’s a very hands-on environment. We don't spend much time sitting around talking about theories; we’re usually busy organizing food supplies or checking in with local families. The temple bells nearby are a nice sound to hear throughout the day. We don’t have a corporate budget, so most of our furniture is second-hand or just very basic. Sometimes the neighbors pop their heads in to say hello or ask what we’re up to. It’s a community-focused spot. We don't try to sound like a big international NGO. We’re just local people trying to make sure the folks around here have enough to eat. It’s a lot of hard work and long hours, but it feels right being right here on the ground near the temple.
