Our kitchen is usually a bit of a mess during the rush hours, with pots and pans everywhere. We don’t have a lot of fancy decorations. We mostly care about the stove and the ingredients. The village vibe is nice because it’s a bit slower than the center of Bangalore. We see the same people walking by every day. Some of us have been working in food for years, and we just wanted to do our own thing. We aren't a big chain; it’s just this one spot. Sometimes we run out of things or the power goes out, and we just have to deal with it. It’s part of the job. We spend a lot of time chopping vegetables and making sure the spices are right. It’s physical work and your back starts to ache after a while, but it’s okay. We like the neighborhood and the people around K R Puram. We aren't trying to be anything we aren't. We just make food and try to keep the place running. It’s honest work and we’re glad to be here in Dasarahalli.
