Hamaraaasra Charitable Foundation

We’re located in the east corner shop at No 81/3 on MM Road. It’s right next to Rahams Restaurant, which is a good landmark if you're trying to find us. Frazer Town is a busy place, and our little corner is no exception. Hamaraaasra Charitable Foundation is just a small group of us trying to help people out. The shop space is quite tiny. We have some shelves for supplies and a couple of old desks we got secondhand. It’s often crowded when we have volunteers in. The smell of food from next door is always there, which makes us hungry by lunchtime. We don't have a fancy sign, just something small in the window. People from the neighborhood drop by quite often. We don't have a lot of rules about when people can visit. If we're there, the door is usually open. It’s a bit noisy with all the traffic on MM Road, but that's just Bangalore for you. We don't have any corporate funding or big offices. It’s all very grassroots. We do our best with what we have. Sometimes we run out of space and have to stack boxes on the sidewalk for a bit. We’ve been in this spot for a while and the locals know us. It’s just a plain, simple place for community work. No bells or whistles, just us and the work that needs to be finished.
