Golden Fresh Fruits International India Private Limited is situated at No 54/1 on the first floor of Bassappa Road in Shanthinagar. It is a pretty central spot in Bangalore, which helps when you are dealing with something as time-sensitive as fruit. Our work revolves around getting fresh produce moved around internationally. Since fruits go bad quickly, our days usually start quite early before the sun gets too hot. There is always someone checking the temperature or looking at crates to see if everything is holding up. The office itself is pretty plain. We have a few computers and some chairs that have seen better days. It gets a bit hectic when a big shipment is due, and the phone does not stop ringing. We talk to growers and buyers all day long. It is not a glamorous job, but it is necessary. You get to learn a lot about seasons and which parts of the country are producing what. Sometimes we get samples in the office, and that is probably the best part of the day. We do not have a marketing department or anything. It is just us making sure the logistics work out so the fruit does not sit around too long. It is a lot of pressure sometimes, but we have been doing this long enough to know how to handle the stress and the long hours. We just focus on keeping the fruit moving through the supply chain.
