You can find us in Malleshwaram, which is one of the older, busier parts of Bangalore. Our office sits on the 3rd floor of number 233, right on the 2nd Main Road off Sampige Road. If you’ve ever walked down Sampige Road, you know how crowded it gets with all the markets and people buying flowers and vegetables. It's a lively place to work. We focus on fashion and clothing here at Girijaramana Fashions. The building is an older one, so the walls have a bit of character and the lift can be temperamental sometimes. Inside, we have rows of sewing machines and cutting tables. It’s usually quite loud with the hum of the motors and people shouting over the noise to be heard. We’ve got a small team, mostly people who have been in the textile trade for decades. We don't really do the whole polished office thing because we’re too busy actually making things. Lunchtime is great because the local food around here is some of the best in the city. We usually just have our tiffin boxes at our desks or go to the small canteen nearby. It's hard work, and the days can be long, but there is something nice about being right in the heart of Malleshwaram. We just keep our heads down and handle the daily tasks as they come without making a big fuss about it.
