We operate out of Unit No 2201 in the World Trade Centre, which is part of the Brigade Gateway complex in Malleshwaram. Being in a big building like this is a bit different from our earlier days. It’s a large tower and we are way up on the 22nd floor, so we get a pretty good view of that side of Bangalore. Even though it’s a big professional building, our actual office for Edumpus Initiatives feels pretty casual once you step inside. We don't have any strict rules about how people dress or anything like that. It’s mostly just a group of us sitting at our desks working on our various projects. The Brigade Gateway area is always bustling with people going to the mall or the hospital nearby, so there is always a lot of energy around. We usually use the communal areas for our breaks or just grab something to eat at the food court downstairs. The elevators can sometimes take a long time during the lunch rush, which is a bit of a hassle. We don't go in for much of that corporate mission statement stuff. We just come in every day and try to make progress on what we’re building. It’s a nice enough place to work, and being in Malleshwaram means we are close to some really good old-school Bangalore spots too. We just focus on our tasks and try to keep things simple for everyone.
