Dyuthi Academy is up on the 4th floor of the Mahalakshmi Complex. We’re at number 18/1 on Bull Temple Road in Basavanagudi. It’s a famous road, so we get a lot of people asking if we’re near the temple. We are. The walk up to the 4th floor can be a bit much if the elevator is being slow, which happens more than we’d like. The office itself is quite open. We have a view of the trees along the road. Basavanagudi has a lot of old-world charm, and we like that about the neighborhood. We spend our days managing the academy affairs. We have a few classrooms and an office area. It’s all very functional. No designer furniture or anything like that. We bought most of the chairs second-hand or from local shops. We’ve been here for a while and the walls are covered with notes and schedules. It looks a bit messy to an outsider, but we know where everything is. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who care about getting things right. We don’t talk much about marketing; we just try to do a good job. Sometimes we stay late when there’s a lot of work, and the building gets very quiet. It’s a good place to be. We just keep doing our daily tasks. The Mahalakshmi Complex is a busy place during the day. We share the floor with a few other offices. Sometimes we hear people talking in the hallway.
