Dukhharta Foundation

Our setup is located at Jayashri Ashram over in Sankonatti. It’s on the Athani Main Road, specifically at Kudari Tota. If you’re driving down that way in Belgaum, you’ll see the spot near the turnoff. We’ve been operating the Dukhharta Foundation from this location for a while now. It’s a quiet area mostly, though the main road gets its fair share of trucks passing through during the harvest season. The ashram itself has a calm feel to it, which helps when things get busy with the daily paperwork. We aren’t some big city firm with glass walls or high ceilings. We’re out here in the 591304 area where the air is a bit different and life moves a little slower. Most of the folks who work here live nearby, so we know the local issues pretty well. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby with magazines. Usually, you just walk in and find whoever is around. It’s a lot of talking to people who come by seeking help. We don't put on any airs about what we do. It’s just work that needs doing, and we are the ones here to do it. The building is older, but it serves its purpose. We keep the kettle going for tea during the afternoons, especially when it’s raining. It feels more like a home than an office most days. That’s just the way we like it. No one here is trying to impress anyone else. We just stick to the routine.
