We are out here in Bylakere, at No.79/3. It is a bit away from the main city traffic of Bangalore, which is actually pretty nice for us. Direct Fruit India Private Limited started because we saw a lot of good fruit going to waste and we thought we could help move it better to where it needs to go. This place isn’t a shiny office with glass walls. It’s more of a practical spot where things actually happen every day. We spend a lot of our time checking the quality of what comes in and talking to the farmers who grow everything. Bangalore has changed so much lately, but this area still feels a bit more like the old days. We have trucks coming in and out at odd hours. When it rains, the roads around here get a bit muddy, which can be a real pain for the drivers. We just try to keep the fruit moving as fast as we can so it stays fresh for the customers. It is honestly pretty hard work. Early mornings are just part of the routine. You can’t really wait around in the fruit business. My brother and a few guys from the local neighborhood help out with the heavy lifting and loading. We don’t spend money on big ads or marketing. Most people find us because they know someone who worked with us before. We have a small cold storage unit that we have to check constantly.
