Dhatri Textiles is over at No. 16 in Thayappa Reddy Layout, which is in the Ananthapura area of North Bengaluru. If you’re looking for us, we are at K No. 130/177/178. It’s one of those parts of Bangalore that has grown really fast lately. The layout is mostly residential, but our textile setup fits in okay. We have a lot of fabric rolls coming in and out every week. It gets a bit crowded inside because we try to fit a lot of work into the space we have. The floors are usually covered in little bits of thread and scrap material by the end of the shift. We don’t have a big reception area or anything like that. If you walk in, you’re basically walking right into where the work is happening. The staff is mostly people who have been with us for a while now. We know the local shopkeepers and the guys at the tea stall nearby. It isn't a fancy corporate office; it’s more of a place where people are actually working with their hands. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, which is just part of life in this area. We just keep going and try to get the orders ready. It’s a plain, honest way to make a living in Bengaluru, and we have been doing this for several years now.
